M6 Group's operating profit rockets
During the first six months of the year, M6 made an operating profit of EUR 151.2 million (an increase of 23.6 per cent). Consolidated revenues were up 6.8 per cent at EUR 709.2 million. Despite a less favourable advertising climate during Q2, over the entire first half-year M6 managed to increase its advertising revenues by 3.9 per cent to EUR 365 million. And at EUR 344.2 million, other activities' revenues were up significantly on last year (EUR 312.4 million).

The main channel, M6, also made gains in the DTT market achieving a market share of 18.6 per cent among housewives under 50. During Prime Time, M6 was also the only national channel to improve its performance, attracting an average of 3.6 million viewers every evening.

Particularly encouraging, too, are the revenues of the Group's digital channels W9, Paris Première and Téva, whose advertising revenues contributed substantially to the overall result. Their revenues were up 36.5 per cent on last year.

The figures achieved by M6 Mobile and the shopping activities via Home Shopping Service and Mistergooddeal.com were also reflected positively in the overall result.
